Whole

I have found that we all are connected.
Being here by the ocean I feel its connection with the stars, with the moon...
The earth truly does live in a universe.
We are all a part of it.
I feel connected to the ocean
We are made of the same sum and substance.
And further, I feel connected with other human beings here
We are all one and the same.
We're made out of the same flesh and blood
We are brothers and sisters
and the earth is our mother and the universe our father.
We should all help each other,
lift one another.
We're all here on this earth together.
We're all the same.
Yes we are individual,
but none of us,
NONE of us are so different-
no matter our
color
race
religion
face
culture...
to be left out.
God is our real father in Heaven,
He connects each one of us to the whole.
He is each of ours dad
and all of ours dad.
We are more kin than we realize to
the stranger on the bus
the fisherman in his boat
the businessman in his tie
the terrorist with his bomb
the adulterer
the priest
the professor
the gang member
the starving child half way across the world (whom we've all thought about...)
our children
our parents
even our own spouse...

If we could only grasp what we really all mean to each other... maybe then...
I don't know- maybe then we would have peace... within our own selves and with each other.

I don't know, maybe I'm just an idealist...

Although i sit here all wet and drippily

Although i sit here all wet and drippily
My fingers ask me sweetly if they can write
So I decide to let them
I also let my tongue taste the ice cream
and the rain
I also let my lips touch the flower
My flowers you gave me are little golden moons
the pink edges speak to me
and tell me they are mine
the white complements my eyes you say
so do the little golden moons my sunshine I say
"where are we going?" my feet ask me
My heart tells them "I do not know"
but my eyes ask to linger on the flowers
my roses are drooping
my plumerias wet
He made me sit and think
He made me walk and laugh
What are you thinking my head likes to ask
My hands tell my mind, "do not worry about it
for you never can tell
on a night like this
for she smells change in the air"
"Do you see the curtains" my hair asks my arms?
"Do you see how they kiss her face?"
I tell my little ones
"I think I love the curtain
he bids me to look behind him"
What is behind the curtain?
The chimes try to answer
but only in looking will I find...
Although I sit here all wet and drippily
My fingers ask me sweetly if they can write
"Give us a moment," they whisper,
"and let us show you where your heart can take you"
"But where am I going?"
my heart tries to ask
"But where am I going?"
I venture to ask
and then the curtain covers up my keyboard
it gives me a hug
come
come it calls
come and find
it's quite dark out there
on the window are the
dripping dots.
they ooze down
carrying their stories
"i bet if you put your ear up close,"
I tell the curtain,
"you can here them whisper"
They've always told me stories...
two and blue
and in the car seat
and it's gone
it is over
and done.

Life's Bloomabilities

Life is so rich- simply throbbing with the

myriad of wonders of our universe! There is

much to discover, to be passionate

about...the function of our bodies and their

tiny cells is miraculous; the fluidity of a

ballerina's grace can captivate and enchant

any hard soul; the magnificence of a nebula

is literally breathtaking; even the simple

sound of pure joy that bubbles out of a child's

laugh seems to take us nearer to heaven and

its angels then any other kind of experience.

There is beauty to be found e v e r y w h e r

e; the trash on the side of the highway is a

great place to start looking for it and inside

ourselves is a great place to end up, but

there is no end to God's handiwork and

beauty! The human race itself is a

remarkable feat. Look at how much we know

of the world around us....look at how much

we don't know! When I think of this I wonder

how can we NOT go on to study, learn, and

attend universities for the rest of our lives!??!

I Would Pick More Daisies

If I had my life to live over, I'd dare to make more mistakes next time. I'd relax, I would limber up. I would be sillier than I have been this trip. I would take fewer things seriously. I would take more chances. I would climb more mountains and swim more rivers. I would eat more ice cream and less beans. I would perhaps have more actual troubles, but I'd have fewer imaginary ones.

You see, I'm one of those people who live sensibly and sanely hour after hour, day after day. Oh, I've had my moments, and if I had it to do over again, I'd have more of them. In fact, I'd try to have nothing else. Just moments, one after another, instead of living so many years ahead of each day. I've been one of those persons who never goes anywhere without a thermometer, a hot water bottle, a raincoat, and a parachute. If I had to do it again, I would travel lighter than I have.

If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall. I would go to more dances I would ride more merry-go-rounds. I would Pick more daisies.
